Workhorse Staffing are seeking an experienced Machine Operator with Leading Hand capabilities to join a thriving steel manufacturer in North Brisbane. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator with a background in steel or sheet metal manufacturing who is ready to step into a leadership role while remaining hands-on with production.

WHAT'S ON OFFER:

  • $42.69 per hour + super

  • Additional Leading Hand allowance

  • Afternoon shift, 2pm – 10pm, Monday to Friday

THE ROLE:

  • Operating steel and sheet metal production machinery

  • Taking a hands-on leadership role within the production team

  • Providing guidance and support to machine operators

  • Helping coordinate daily production activities and workflow

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

  • Performing regular quality checks on finished products

  • Ensuring production targets and deadlines are met

  • Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment

  • Following all WHS policies and procedures

ABOUT YOU:

  • Forklift licence

  • Previous experience operating production machinery within a steel or sheet metal environment

  • Experience with machinery such as roll formers, overhead cranes, guillotines, brake presses or folding machines

  • Previous Leading Hand experience or the ability to step into a leadership role

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

  • Reliable transport and full Australian working rights
